New releases: This week Hermann J. Wiemer unveiled the highly anticipated 2008 Dry and Semi-Dry Riesling. The weather provided for an excellent vintage in 2008, leading to classic Riesling flavors.
The Dry features hints of lime and orange blossom on the nose, setting the stage for a succulent palate of apricot and grapefruit. Our trademark minerality creates a beautiful texture that carries into a long, lingering finish.
The Semi- Dry remains delicate and fruit forward with lemon zest on the nose and bright tangerine on the tongue, leaving the mouth subtly coated into the finish.
Dry Riesling is also available in Magnums and 375ml bottles but quantities are limited.
It may be cold and snowy, but the winery is still open daily for tasting. Our weekend hours during January and February are 10-5 on Saturdays and 11-5 on Sundays.

having lived four years in the Rhine Valley of Germany, I will say the Wiemer dry riesling would be well received there.
