Swedish Hill Winery started off the 2010 competition season with a bang winning some great awards at the San Francisco Chronicle Competition in early January. Most impressive was the “Judges Choice” (better than a double gold medal) honor given to their Spumante Blush sparkling wine. The “Judge’s Choice” designation is given to wines that are unanimously voted on by all Judges at the competition to go on to the Sweepstakes round.
Swedish Hill also won a double gold medal for their 2008 Vidal Blanc, a gold medal for their Naturel sparkling wine and gold medal and “Best of Class” for their Svenska Red.
